Details:
The Kansas City Ski Club is a group of skiers and non-skiers who join together for fun and camaraderie. We have singles, families, people of all ages as members. Come join us at a meeting to get acquainted or for more information.
We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2005.
The Kansas City Ski Club is a non profit ski club, of over 2,000 members, dedicated to skiing, having fun and helping the community year round. In the winter, we have organized ski trips to various resorts in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Canada, New Zealand, Japan or Europe. Throughout the year, we have a multitude of social, recreational, and volunteer activities. We have groups playing volleyball, golf, tennis, bowling and softball. In the community, you will find us volunteering for the Winter Special Olympics, Christmas in October, Harvesters, Public Television and Radio pledge drives and many more local charitable events.
We have club social events such as a monthly club meeting, regional happy hours, trips to sporting events, pub crawls, and TGIF events. In the summer the fun continues with a variety of summer trips for canoeing, whitewater rafting, music festivals, scuba diving and trips to other cities.
We have been recognized by the United States Recreational Ski Association, many times, as the Outstanding Ski Club in America. Competitively we have won the Flatlands Ski Association's annual Flatlands Ski Races consecutively since 1991.
