| Snowy Range Ski and Recreation Area is located 32 miles west of Laramie,
Wyoming, in the stunningly beautiful Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest.
This ski area gets terrific snowfall and has a great atmosphere. Whether you're
a novice or experienced skier or rider, Snowy Range is the place for you. The
area has a myriad of trails with the longest stretching well over a mile long.
Riders get ripped at Renegade Park and on the half-pipe. It's a real challenge.
Snowboarding lessons are available for first-timers and accomplished riders
of all ages. Cross-country trails are easy to access from Snowy Range Ski and
Recreation Area and are maintained by the U.S. Forest Service.
The Snowy Range Ski School is certified and has friendly, professional
staff members ready to help you perfect your skiing or snowboarding
-- no matter what level you are at. Group and private lessons are offered. The
Children's Ski and Snow Play School is available on all operating days. It includes
lift ticket, supervision, instructions, equipment rental and lunch. The cafeteria
serves soups, chili, burgers, a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, hot dogs,
fries, cold and hot drinks, desserts and snacks at a very reasonable price.
There is also a lounge and gift shop on the premises. If you're making a vacation
of it, there are plenty of lodging accommodations available in nearby Centennial
(5 miles away) and Laramie. |
