This is my favorite resort in the Mid-Atlantic. It gets the most natural snow and always has the best conditions. Some people complain about Timberline's slow lifts, but these lifts control skier traffic, which means better snow conditions and safer slopes than any other mountain in the region. Also, you get the full 1,000 foot vertical on nearly ever trail. Lift tickets and lodging are very affordable. Timberline is perfect!
