Massanutten Resort is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. With a wide range of trails covering 70 skiable acres and a vertical drop of 1,100 feet, this four-season mountain resort offers lots of variety for every level of skier. Massanutten welcomes snowboard skiers. A snowboard park, served by a J-bar lift, features bumps and a quarter-pipe. Rentals and lessons are available. To make skiing more convenient, all slopes are lighted for night skiing. This is a family-oriented resort offering ski school for children ages 4 to 12. The program is uses the latest teaching methods to ensure your children receive an enjoyable start in this lifetime sport.

Massanutten Adaptive Ski School (M.A.S.S.) is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to promoting alpine skiing instruction to help individuals of all ages overcome a variety of challenges. Instructors and volunteers follow the PSIA Adaptive Teaching Model and other progressions as defined by National Handicapped Sports. To get to Massanutten from the north and south, take I-81 to Exit 247A. Follow U.S. 33 east about 11 miles to the entrance on the left. From points east and west, take I-64 to I-81 and follow the directions above.

Massanutten Resort is conveniently located just 10 miles east of Harrisonburg, Virginia, off Interstate 81.

From Washington/Baltimore

• Beltway to I-66 west to Rt. 29 south to Rt. 33 west at Ruckersville, past Elkton 6 miles to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn right and proceed to resort facilities.

• Beltway & I-66 west to I-81south to Harrisonburg exit 247A. Follow Rt. 33 east, 10 miles to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn left and proceed to resort facilities.

From Richmond/Tidewater

• I-64 west to Rt.15 north to Gordonsville, turn left on Rt. 33 west, past Elkton 6 miles to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn right and proceed to resort facilities.

• I-64 west to I-81 north to Harrisonburg exit 247A. Follow Rt. 33 east, 10 miles to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn left and proceed to resort facilities.

• I-64W to Rt. 340 north in Waynesboro to Rt. 649, Island Ford Rd., turn left and go 2 miles to Rt. 33, turn right, go 1 mile to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn left and proceed to resort facilities.

From Raleigh/Durham

* From Danville, VA, take Rt.29 north to Rt. 6 west (toward Afton) to Rt.250 west to Waynesboro and Rt. 340 north to Rt. 649, Island Ford Rd., turn left and go 2 miles to Rt. 33, turn right, go 1 mile to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn left and proceed to resort facilities.

From Southwestern Virginia/Tennessee

• I-81 north to Harrisonburg exit 247A. Follow Rt. 33 east, 10 miles to Rt. 644 (Resort Drive). Turn left and proceed to resort facilities.
