Sugarbush brings back great memories to me. We had some great times there at school. But most importantly, they have great package deals where you can stay in a nearby resort with all the amenities for a reasonable price. And, you can get all of this with half the crowds of Killington. Unfortunately, it is somewhat further from New York. But, the slopes are just as pretty. The backdrop is almost all of Vermont. And, you have great mogul mountains. Of course, you have to hope for snow the night before (It makes the falls cushier on the buttocks!). But, they are well groomed. There is enough of variety. The lodge is decent, not terrific. It has the standard food places and can get kind of crowded at times. But, during the holiday season (except for Christmas!) when it is extremely busy, there is but one choice if you have a full weekend- Sugarbush- Killington without the crowds...

I have to say Sugarbush has the best varied terrain in the East. the people who work there are great. The resort offers some of the most challenging terrain in the east. The snowmaking is great with very little ice. The lifts never seem to have long lines. I would recommend skiing one day on Lincoln Peak and another on Mount Ellen. The lift between the two mountains are extremely far and long. I think something like 15+ minutes. Overall this is a Great resort. I would rate it a 5 out of 5

I would have to agree that sugarbush is terrific. I looks like the place where people whoknow go. After living in Central Vermont for 4 years I have come to realize that most vermonters prefer Sugarbush along with other less well known mountains. If a season pass were cheater I would most likely get one! What a mountain.

Have recently visited Sugarbush. The mountains were great. There are a variety of beautiful trails. From Double Black Diamonds to Green Circles you will definatley find a trail for you. The mountain has rest areas and lodges on the mountian exactly where you need them. All of the mountians are splended. The town is just a few miles away but there are many places to eat and stay very close to the mountain. We stayed at the Sugarbush Inn. It was very nice because they give yuo great deals that are very cheap, yet the rooms are very good. I would recomend this area for everyone because there is terrain for just about EVERYONE!!
