JERK!!! I love Bolton Valley. When it is good it is great! But, when it is bad it is the pitts. I have a love hate relationship with that mountain. I have been there too many times to turn my back on it now. Of course it continues to disappoint me.

Bolton Resort is the perfect place to enjoy ordic and backcountry skiing. The highest elevation of Vermont's cross-country ski areas always promises great snow, from early November well into April. With over 100 km of Nordic trails, Bolton is considered by many avid skiers to be the 'best backcountry in Vermont'. The extensive trail system offers great scenic views for all abilities. The Nordic Center offers Classic and Skate skiing lessons as well as guided tours and ski clinics throughout the winter season. I have been to this resort 3 times and every time it seems to get worse. There snowmaking has to be the worst in Vermont. The top of the mountain was 90% ice because of the strong winds and lack of snowmaking. If you can find a run that has some powder, its not to bad. The lifts are extremely slow and seem to break down quite often. I am not surprised this resort is bankrupt. If they get there act together with the lifts and more snowmaking on the peak it would not be a bad mountain at.
