Vermont Uncrowded Trails Bolton Valley is a full-service, four-season destination resort on 6,000 private, wooded acres surrounded by the Green Mountains of Vermont. With six lifts, numerous trails covering 175 acres of skiable terrain, Bolton offers something for every level skier. Snowmakers and groomers work seven days a week to ensure the best possible conditions. Lift lines are rare and the trails uncrowded.

Bolton boasts 105 km of cross-country skiing terrain, featuring some of the best conditions in the Northeast as a result of its high base elevation of 2,001 feet. It is the largest cross country trail system on private land in New England. To provide the greatest variety, one-third of the trail network is groomed and tracked; the rest is preserved in its natural state. Bolton Valley ski resort is the only full-service ski resort on private land in New England. The truly unique feature of Bolton Valley is the accessibility of all the resort's amenities.

Most of the lodging features ski-in, ski-out convenience and all of the dining and sports facilities are no more than a short walk from your room. There are several restaurants are within walking distance of each other and the lodge. From classic French to family-style pizza, you will find a range of eateries to choose from and a nightly variety of live entertainment and activities for all ages. Within walking distance of all resort lodging is a 20,000 square foot Sports Center containing indoor tennis, free weights and exercise equipment, activity room (volleyball, basketball), sauna, Jacuzzi, indoor pool, locker rooms and a large screen television, as well as meeting and convention space.

    Driving to Bolton Valley
    Bolton is an easy drive from all major metropolitan areas of the Northeastern United States.

    From the south:
    1. Get on I-89 Northbound and proceed to Exit 10 (Waterbury)
    2. Make a left turn from the exit ramp onto Vermont Rt. 100 and then a right turn onto U.S. Rt. 2 Westbound
    3. Remain on Rt. 2 for approximately 8 miles and turn right onto Bolton Valley Access Rd. in the town of Bolton (just before crossing under the interstate and passing the Shell station)
    4. Follow Bolton Valley Access Rd. to the resort (approximately five miles to the hotel and main base lodge)

    From the north:
    1. Get on I-89 Southbound and proceed to Exit 11 (Richmond)
    2. Make a right turn from the exit ramp onto U.S. Rt. 2 Eastbound
    3. Remain on Rt. 2 for approximately 8 miles (passing through both Richmond Village and Jonesville)
    4. Turn left onto Bolton Valley Access Rd. (immediately after passing under the interstate in the town of Bolton) and follow that road to the resort (approximately five miles to the hotel and main base lodge)

    Flying
    The Burlington International Airport is serviced by all major airlines and is only 30 minutes from the resort. Major car rentals are available, or you may arrange ground transfer through the Inn at Bolton Valley by calling (802) 434-3444 x.1050 in advance.

    Train
    Amtrak service is available from Washington, DC, New York, Boston, or from Montreal to Waterbury Station located only 10 miles from Bolton Valley Resort.

    Bus
    Vermont Transit offers bus service to Waterbury, Vermont (only 10 miles from Bolton Valley Resort) and offers connections to points throughout North America.
