A Family Ski Destination Ascutney Mountain Resort is Vermont's fastest growing family ski destination. This mountain brings the word "family" back into winter vacations. All of their ski trails converge at the base area, making in virtually impossible to get lost. This is a big mountain with dozens of trails covered by 95 percent snowmaking. From the gentle slope of Little Eagle to the awesome pitch of Freefall to the fast-paced cruiser of Snowdance, there is something for everyone. Nightly grooming means optimal conditions every day of the week.

    Ascutney Mountain Resort is a short drive from most locations. We're only 6 miles off I-91 and just over 2 hours from Boston & Hartford, 4 hours from New York City.

    From the South on I-91 (Brattleboro/Western MA/CT/NYC):
    Take Exit 8 and bear right at the end of the exit ramp. Follow Route 131 for 3/10 of a mile to intersection with US Rte. 5. At the light, turn left onto Rte. 5 for 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Rte. 44A and follow for 2.8 miles. Bear left on Rte. 44 and follow for 2 miles to Ascutney Mountain Resort on left, just before the village of Brownsville.

    From the North on I-91 (White River Jct/Canada/Eastern MA):
    Take Exit 9 and turn left onto US Route 5 for 4 miles to Windsor. Turn right at second set of lights in Windsor onto Route 44 for 5.4 miles to Ascutney Mountain Resort on the left.

    From Woodstock:
    Take Route 106 South from Woodstock 13 miles to intersection with Rte. 44. Turn left onto Rte. 44 and follow 5 miles through Brownsville to Ascutney Mountain Resort on your right.

    By Train

    The Resort is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the Windsor Station in nearby Windsor, VT. Taking the train is a convenient alternative to driving, with the Amtrak Vermonter Train stopping in Windsor twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. The Vermonter runs from Washington DC to St. Albans, VT with stops in all major train stations including Springfield, MA; Hartford, CT; Stamford, CT; New York-Penn Station, NY; Trenton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore-Penn Station and others.
