The most exciting story in mountain resorts is now unfolding in the high Rockies. Keeping its five-year, $500-million master plan well in view, The Canyons continues to move forward in developing the most exciting resort in American skiing and snowboarding. So if you’re an aficionado of smooth cruising on long, winding runs, soul carving in open bowls, exploring miles of naturally gladed slopes or just floating through the Greatest Snow on Earth, you’ll find it all in rich abundance among our fourteen peaks and eight canyons. And all of it is cast in a Rocky Mountain setting near the historic town of Park City. The Canyons' biggest improvement news is the opening of Dreamscape, past Peak Five in the White Pine Canyon area. This expansion, accessed by a new four-passenger chairlift will add approximately 325 additional acres of skiing and riding terrain to the resort.

Located South of Peak 5 this lift will open new intermediate and expert terrain, that previously could only be reached by backcountry hiking. With the new terrain expansion, The Canyons will offer the most trails in Utah with over 147. The expansion, along with extensive mountain and trail enhancement work, will add 20 percent more intermediate terrain. The Canyons now offers 3,500 acres, making it one of the largest ski and snowboard areas in the country by skiable terrain. The Canyons is only 25 miles from Salt Lake City and 32 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport. That means you can be skiing and snowboarding less than an hour after you leave the airport. The Canyons is a work in progress. But you can already tell it will be a masterpiece.
