I loved Powder Mountain! I took a trip to Utah back in Feb for a week and planned on visiting Salt Lake City for most of the time. My condo was in Ogden, which isn't far from Powder Mountain and I ended up skiing half my week there and never even made it to Salt Lake to some of the more well known resorts. Every night there was snow, leaving fresh powder in the morning and beautiful ski conditions. There are so many areas to ski, you are guaranteed to never find a trail that needs grooming. I am from PA, it was nice not seeing a snow making machine anywhere in sight! The resort is so beautiful, I will definitely be going back!

You can access tons of untracked weeks after a dump because the terrain is spread out. Backside is epic. No scene = no idiots. One of the last family owned resorts around. Maybe not the most technical terrain, but you'll hard pressed to get in a bad run.

Just got back from a week in Eden, Utah. Spent 3 of 5 days at Powder Mtn. and found fresh powder every day (even 5 days after a storm). We arrived in the middle of a storm that brought 18 inches to the mountain on Sunday and when we went the following Friday we still found fresh pow. The lift accessed terrain was average, but the hikable stuff (lighting ridge and cobabe canyon) are where it's at. The staff and locals are the nicest folks around. The guy running the ski shop talked my friend out of buying something he didn't need, then gave him a discount on something he needed. Try finding that in Park City. The atmosphere at Powder is totally laid back and the longest lift line was about 6 people long (and that's on President's day). The only problem we had was driving up the steep access road in the snow behind a Lincoln Continental fishtailing all over the road and eventually getting stuck. Definitely need 4x4 or chains in the snow.
