I have been going to Seven Springs resort since I was five. I Enjoy going there every year as part of our family reunion. We have been going to ski resorts in that area for a long time and we like Seven Springs the best because it doesn't just have great skiing it has great facilities too. As for the skiing, there is usually a good amount of snow, although most of it is man-made. Seven Springs has one of the most advanced snow-making equipment on the east coast. They get their water for it from a lake at the top of the North Face. My personal favorite trails are Lost Boy, North Face, Goosebumps, and Boomerang. I enjoy Lost Boy and Boomerang, because they are nice relaxing green slopes that usually have been groomed and have little to no crowds. Goosebumps is Seven Springs' most famous trail because it is a wide double-black diamond that is purely moguls. To top it off,it is virtually strait down. For those of you who enjoy these slopes, you may be dissapointed because it is fairly short like the rest of Seven Springs'slopes. However, the short slopes are a trademark of the lower east coast ski resorts. Anyways, I only recommend it for the most advanced skiers. The North Face is a nice black trail. It has a steep beginning and then is fairly nice from then on. It is always windy, so the top layer of snow may be gone in some areas, and there are bare patches, also be prepared to cover your face from those stinging ice crystals. In really bad weather there is little to no visibility. There are other things there besides skiing though, like the outdoor hot tubs, snow tubing, and the snowboard park. I highly recommend the tubing, it is awesome. It isn't to expensive and believe me it's worth it. They give you a tube and then you go up the mountain on a tube lift (similar to a ski lift) and then you go of the top. The outdoor hot tubs are also very nice, though they tend to be a bit pricey. The food there is great and it isn't to expensive. They have a lot of places to eat, just choose one. I personally don't spend to much time at the restaurants, because I'm always on the slopes. There are some other things there that might interest you, like the arcade that children hang out in, the indoor swimming pool, indoor bowling, and indoor put-put golf. In the Summer time, when there is no snow, they have white water rafting, tobboganing, hiking, and much more. The tobboganing is really a must, it is a course that is permanently on the side of the mountain. Then they put you on a tobbogan and there you go!

This place is Super. As bad as this winter has been, you can count on 7springs to have the whole mountain open with conditions much better than you could possibly expect. The Giant Boulder Slope is the greatest in Western PA for beginner/intermediate skiers. It is well worth the hour drive and extra $$$ to pass up Boyce and jump on the Turnpike to Donegal. 7springs is not the cheapest resort - just the Best!
