Enjoy a day of skiing on the gentle slopes or spend the day just enjoying the clean alpine air. The Sapphire Valley Ski slopes are an integral part of a 5,700-acre four-season resort nestled in a pristine mountain valley high in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, with an average elevation of 4,300 feet. In keeping with the natural serenity of Sapphire Valley, the lift lines are rarely longer than eight minutes. This atmosphere provides the perfect setting for families seeking quality time together.

Sapphire Valley offers ski & snowboard lessons, kids' "Snow Cub Camp" & distinctly affordable rates, including special discounts for groups. The base lodge has a rustic mountain style complete with a stone fireplace, snack bar/restaurant, and ski clothing shop. In just one day, the basics of skiing or snowboarding can be learned from our excellent core of instructors. Located just a couple hours from Atlanta and Knoxville, Sapphire is a true hidden gem of Carolina winter fun.

From Atlanta

I-85 to SC Exit 1 (Hwy 11) to SC 28 W, to Walhalla. Continue on SC 28 W. through Walhalla to 107 N. to Cashiers, NC. Turn right on US 64 E in Cashiers, go 3 miles to Sapphire Management Company on your left. Travel time 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

From Asheville

I-26 to NC 280 towards Brevard. In Brevard, take Hwy. 64 W. to Sapphire Management Company on the right. Travel time 1 1/4 hours.

From Greenville/Spartanburg

I-26 to Hendersonville, NC. Take Hwy. 64 W. to Sapphire Management Company on the right. Travel time 2 1/4 hours. Or take US 123 to Seneca. Take right on SC 28 to Hwy. 107 N to Cashiers. In Cashiers, turn right on Hwy. 64 E. Go three miles to Sapphire Management Company on the left. Travel time 2 hours.

From Knoxville

I-40 to Exit 27, 74/23 to Sylva, NC. In Sylva take the hospital exit. At the second traffic light turn left onto Hwy. 107 S. Stay on 107S to Cashiers, NC. In Cashiers take a left on Hwy. 64E. and go three miles to Sapphire Management Company on your left. Travel time 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

From Charlotte

I-85 South to Spartainburg, SC. In Spartainburg, take I-26 W. to Hendersonville, then Hwy. 64 W. to Sapphire Management Company on the right. Travel time 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

From Chattanooga

I - 75 to Hwy. 64 E. to Sapphire Management Company on left. Travel time 3 1/2 - 4 hours.
