| Hickory Ski Center is located on 225 of the most scenic Adirondack
acres in northeastern New York. It overlooks the junction of the Hudson
and Schroon Rivers. Hickory has been entertaining guests of all abilities since
the 1940's. Hickory Ski Center offers skiing and snowboarding for all ability
levels. Our trails range from easiest to most difficult. The trails marked easiest
are flat and groomed to make it easy for beginners. The trails marked most difficult
contain moguls and more advanced skiing terrain.
Hickory is proud to have the 6th highest vertical drop (1230 feet)
of all the ski areas in New York State. The snow is all natural. Amenities
include a snack bar, open fireplace, picnic tables, a sundeck with benches.
Woods, meadows, and the sounds of a fresh water brook make for a relaxing and
enjoyable break while resting on the sundeck watching the skiers. Hickory Ski
Center has been in business since 1946. While other mountains have modernized
with snow making, lights and dozens of employees, Hickory has continued to operate
on volunteer help almost exclusively. |
