Located just 47 miles form New York City, Mountain Creek is undergoing a complete transformation with more than $500 million of improvements. The state-of-the-art snowmaking system and the recently upgraded lifts have made skiing and riding on the 45 trails across 4 peaks, the ultimate winter experience. A vertical of more than 1,000 feet combined with new trails, terrain parks and a halfpipe have quickly made Mountain Creek the premier winter resort in the region. The $8.5 million in new snowmaking equipment is powerful enough to cover Giants Stadium with two feet of snow every hour. Plus, we designed our system to operate at maximum efficiency at marginal temperatures -- we'll be making snow when everyone else is still waiting for the temperatures to drop.

Lifts include a high-speed eight-passenger gondola (the first of its kind in North America), two high-speed quad chair lifts, two fixed grip quad chair lifts and two beginner conveyor lifts. We eliminated 13 old lifts, but the uphill capacity is greater than ever before. Night skiing and riding on every trail means that the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Look no further for alternative winter fun - snow tubing is the perfect family outdoor activity. Our snow tubing area features six runs and a dedicated lift – the magic carpet. Tubing is open to the public Thursdays through Sundays, and is available for groups of 40 or more only Mondays through Wednesdays. Mountain Creek is close to home -- within an hour or two of most of New Jersey and New York City. It is an easy day trip or a quick weekend getaway.
