Cranmore Mountain is known as New England's Snowplay Resort for Growing Families for a reason. From skiing and snowboarding to heading down the slopes on snow toys, or racing your friends and family on the very cool Wild Cherry Grand Prix Tubing Center, there's never a dull moment for kids of all ages! Also, the new Darkside Freestyle Terrain Park features gravity defying tabletops, berms, and rails fit for all ages and abilities.

Hannes Schneider put Mt. Cranmore on the skiing map and much more. Skiing had been established in the Eastern Slope Region at such areas as Whitneys' Slope in Jackson and the old Wildcat Trail in Pinkham Notch. Hannes' arrival, however, elevated North Conway's reputation as a ski resort to new heights. The opening of the lower Skimobile that year, combined with the mountain's proximity to rail service and Hannes' presence, made Cranmore the place to ski in the East.
