Big sky was a truely amazing mountain. The first time i saw Lone Peak it took my breath away. I could not believe i was actaully here. The mountain was terrrific. Every time i took a run with my uncle and cousins we felt as if we had the whole mountain to ourselfs. We rarely saw anyone else out there. There was plenty of fresh snow each day and it was great. I hope to make it back to Big Sky eventually becuase it was an astoundin place.

I love it. Big Sky is great for advanced skiers and novice alike. If you are an advanced skier and skiing with a novice, the greens are actually diversified enough to keep the advanced skier interested at least for a while. Night life is practically non existant. I have been several times and only once did I see a band. The band was country/rock. It was actually a very good band and I had a blast. There are virtually no lift lines and rarely do I see another skier on the slope. The hospitality is the best I have seen. However, if you would like to go out to dinner in town, the restaurant will send transportation. Also the resort offers a shuttle. The air is very dry, be prepared. Groceries are incredibly over priced. If you can imagine butter at $5.00 per lb. snnoopy

Big Sky is the best! It has vertical like Jackson, but a few more creature comforts and a much better kid's program. It doesn't get as much to-your-waist powder as Targhee but has much more varied terrain. It's much bigger than Bridger Bowl north of Bozeman so boarder/skiier friction is really rare. Also, no slope rage here- no lift lines, friendly personnel, ample parking make for people in better moods. People who think Big Sky is expensive must be 1. Native Montanans 2. Not calculating vertical feet per dollar.
