My first skiing experience at Red Lodge was about one year ago. I was warned about "rock dodge" and last year was a low snow year. Admittedly there was less than average snow even for this mountain. However, I think there is great terrain. The mountain has a good pitch and the side with the new high speed quad has challenging black diamonds. I found lots of hidden tree runs, its easy to be skiing a run alone. So overall, my asessment is: good terrain, nice views, and less than ideal snow amounts. Get it on a good day though and this place is probably awesome.
