Treetops Sylvan Resort, in the heart of Northern Michigan's snowbelt, is a perfect family getaway. Treetops is located just outside the Alpine Village of Gaylord. It receives an annual snowfall of 175 inches, which provides the ideal setting for fantastic Alpine and Nordic skiing. Nineteen downhill runs wind their way through the majestic hardwood forest that covers the 400-acre winter park. Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a half-pipe for their own private use. Nordic enthusiasts will find the "Midwest's best terrain" for cross-country skiing. The 20 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert.

Treetops also offers snowtubing. The tubing ride is separate from the ski area and is available for a "ride on the wild side." The unique tubing lift attaches to the tube by a tether and tows you and the tube to the top of the hill for another run. While the snow at Treetops is usually abundant, state of the art snowmaking and grooming equipment can pile up the snow and have it groomed into fresh blankets of snow in hours. The award-winning state licensed Child Development Center is designed for fun and play for children in a cheerful and caring environment, which allows freedom for Mom and Dad. Treetops offers an array of resort activities designed for the whole family to enjoy. Indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, saunas, sleigh rides and the newly established snowshoe adventures just to name a few. Accommodations are designed with comfort in mind. Rooms feature coffee makers, wet bar, microwaves, refrigerators and balconies.
