Whether it's your first time on skis or your fiftieth, you're certain to find a favorite run (or 46!) at Shanty Creek. We dare you to experience all the new excitement on our two mountains. The wide and wonderful runs at Summit Mountain are ideal for the entire family. More experienced skiers will find plenty of challenges at Schuss, with its natural contours, bumps and a higher elevation. The advance center run, Kingdom Come, has earned a new reputation since the addition of the fresh 40 feet. The peak perspective alone is worthy of a medal, and speaking of medals, you can go for the gold on our NASTAR course. For the full monty, take the shuttle and ski all three villages.

Shanty Creek has reached new heights - in more ways than one. The elevation increase of 40 feet not only brought the vertical to a daunting 450 feet, but also brought a top ranking from SKI Magazine among midwest ski resorts. The summit stands high above the Antrim countryside with a breathtaking 360 degree view that, as Michigan Living magazine says, "deserves a new look from veteran skiers." Five quad chairs allow skiers of different abilities to ride the same chair - keeping friends and family together. Fewer lift lines leave more time for checking out our Cedar River Village runs on the mountain's north face. Beautifully contoured to intermediate cruising, these runs twist and turn over gorgeous terrain.

We're the wizards of winter when it comes to good times on and off the slopes and trails. There's a bevy of après ski activities from horse-drawn sleigh rides through the snow-laden forests to a luxurious dip in our heated outdoor pools. Take a gamble with Vegas-style gaming at a nearby casino. Make new acquaintances or renew old in the magic of winter. Our Wellness Spa is a vacation in itself with a full nautilus program, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, tanning, racquetball, and free weights. Relax in our skier cafe or slopeside Ivan's, and enjoy the sunset in the elegant Lakeview Dining Room. Welcome winter at an evening bonfire with fresh air and starlit stories. Gourmet fare will add to your winters day at LaVigna Italian Bistro at The Lodge at Cedar River. Dance the night away with crowd-pleasing entertainment in our lounges. The possibilities are endless.... Shanty Creek is conveniently accessed from I-75, U.S. 131, U.S. 27 or by commercial airlines via Traverse City Cherry Capital Airport.
