Camden Snow Bowl
Overview Resort Statistics Lift Statistics Trail Statistics Other Services Contact Info Directions

The Snow Bowl was developed by many warm-hearted and willing workers with one goal in mind: to provide quality recreation for their hardworking community. In the year of 1936, in spite of the "Great Depression," with money being so scarce in the small town of Camden, a group of residents gathered together and a place of winter recreation emerged. Camden truly is "where the mountains meet the sea" thanks to the stunning and unique view of the Atlantic Ocean from the summit of 1300' Ragged Mountain, home to the Snow Bowl's trails.

Besides the skiing / snowboarding trails that cover 850 vertical feet, Camden is also home to cross country / snowshoe terrain, a snow tubing slope , ice skating on Hosmer pond and a thrilling 400' toboggan chute. Camden Snow Bowl is sure to provide entertainment and wonderful memories for any member of the family.

Traveling South on Rte 1, about 1 mile South of the center of town, take a right on John Street, between a Subway and McDuck's Convenience Store. In about 1/2 mile you will come to a 4-Way Stop - go straight. In about 0.1 miles you will come to another stop sign - continue left. In about another 0.2 miles, you will continue straight past Melvin Heights Road which splits to the right. This is Hosmer Pond Road, and it will bring you right by the Snow Bowl, which is located on the North End of Hosmer Pond, a little over 3 miles from Rte. 1. Look for small brown & white signs of a person on a chairlift at intersections along the way.

If traveling North on Rte.1 toward Camden, watch for the Subway just beyond the Graves Supermarket complex on the left, turn left on John St. and continue as above.
