June 20-22 Will Be Final Weekend for Skiing, Riding at Snowbird
06/19/2008 - Snowbird Snowbird will be open for skiing and riding Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 20-22. This will be the final weekend of lift-served skiing and riding for the 2007-08 season. The Tram, Little Cloud and Mineral Basin lifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the ticket price is $59 per day. Chair season passes are honored on the Tram. Due to significant melting, the Road to Provo will be accessed only through a backcountry terrain gate and is not a recommended route for skiing and riding. Skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to download on the Tram as the lower mountain continues to melt rapidly and is considered backcountry terrain with no hazard markings. The terrain Snowbird will offer June 20-22 is for advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders only. There is no easy skiing or riding and no beginner or intermediate terrain. This will be the final weekend for skiing and riding at Snowbird this season. The Alpine Slide is scheduled to open Friday, June 27 (depending on the pace of slide construction this date could be sooner but will not be this weekend) and the mechanical bull is not yet up and running. As a result, the All Day Activities Pass price will remain $25 for adults and $17 for children under 75 lbs. until the slide opens. The Grill on the Hill BBQ competition is Friday and Saturday at Snowbird and will include live music both days.
