Schweitzer is a huge mountain. It has a lot of terrain that will keep any skier happy for a full two days. You can ski out the mountain in two days. It has some very steep slopes and some nice gently cruisers too. Probably the best thing Schweitzer has going for it is the views. From the top you can see the lake in Sandpoint. It is a great view. The lift tickets are the most expensive of the north Idaho resorts. Which I consider a draw back. If you are looking to do a ski trip on a budget in the smoke stack of Idaho, check out Lookout Pass resort on Interstate 90 in north Idaho. It is cheap, fun, and only 100 yards off of the freeway.
