| Located just off CT Route 4 in Cornwall, 4 miles east of
U.S. Route 7 and 12 miles west of Torrington (via CT Route 4 and CT Highway
8) and 12 miles northwest of Litchfield (via CT Routes 63 and 4 -- access
from Route 8 Exit 38 to CT Route 254). Local routes have easy access from
I-684 and N.Y. 22, I-84, I-95, I-91, Merritt and Taconic Parkways.
FROM NEW YORK CITY (I95)
I-684 North to I-84 East, Exit 7 to Route 7 North. At the intersection with
route 4 turn right on route 4 East for 5 miles, Mohawk Mountain is on the
right hand side.
FROM NEW YORK CITY (MERRITT)
Merritt Parkway East to exit 52 to route 8 North to exit 44 in Torrington. Off
the exit go straight to the next traffic light, past a Burger King. At the light
turn left onto route 4 West, follow route 4 West to the mountain - about 12
miles.
FROM DANBURY
Route 7 North to the intersection with route 4, right on route 4 East for 5
miles Mohawk Mountain is on the right.
FROM NEW HAVEN
Route 34 North to route 8 North to exit 44 in Torrington, off the exit go straight
to the next traffic light past a Burger King. At the light turn left onto route
4 West, follow route 4 West to the mountain - about 12 miles.
FROM NEW LONDON
I-95 South to route 9 North to route 66 in Middletown to route 691 to 84 West
to route 8 North to exit 44 in Torrington, off the exit go straight to the next
traffic light, past a Burger King. At the light turn left onto route 4 West,
follow route 4 West to the mountain - about 12 miles.
FROM HARTFORD
Take I-84 west, 1 mile
At W Hartford turn off onto route 44 NW, 12 miles
At Avon bear left onto route202 west, 5 miles
Take route 44 west, 26 miles, through Winsted
Take the route 7 south, 15 miles
Take the local road 2 miles to Mohawk Mtn. |
