Silverton Mountain is a extreme skiers paradise!! I just returned from my first visit there and was blown away. We rode through waist deep powder all day!! It averages 15-50 people A DAY!! That means if it dumps your guide will be able to find powder up to a month later. This place is not for beginner or intermediate skiers/riders. Experts only need apply. The pages of waivers you sign should be a good indication. Everybody here is awesome. Really, really friendly. Our final run of the day we got to ride with the owners of the ski area and they treated us to steep and deep. There is cliffs to huck, and unreal powder turns. The mountain range where it is located is the most aggressive in the state. Nothing like you will find in Summit County. They are big and STEEP!! Our guide was awesome, he did not let us down when it came to finding fresh turns. There was only 6 of us in the group, including the guide. After the main group broke up it felt like we were all alone on the mountain. This place is a must visit for any looking to challenge themselves.
