Aspen Mountain (Ajax) is a skiers mountain, plain and simple. It mainly consists of bumps, bumps, and more bumps. I was only one of a handful of boarders on the mountain the day I went, which isn't to say, don't go if you board, but just be aware of the many mogul runs that makeup a vast majority of the mountain. The cool thing about Aspen Mountain: no green runs, and no lift lines. Best run: The double-black diamond runs like Bear Paw and Last Dollar, that shoot you down through the aspen trees off of International are great glade runs.

Aspen/Snowmass is the best! I liked Snowmass the best, but all the other mountains are great! Buttermilk is great for young children and beginning skiers, Aspen Highlands is great for tough terrain, and Aspen has awesome dining, lodging, shopping, and of course ski runs. Snowmass has great service and everyone is nice. There is a nice outdoor mall, too. Snowmass has great dining & lodging, as well! Thinking about going on a ski trip where everything is perfect... Well, than Snowmass is for you!!!

Aspen is known for its steeps and its four mountains that are not linked. This Colorado ski resort accommodates all by featuring excellent terrain for all skier levels. Filled with steeps and bumps, Aspen Mountain has fantastic primed intermediate runs as well. The mountain is also a great spot for skilled skiers, who can access hundreds of acres of terrain off the backside of the mountain. As the resort-of-choice for the "better off," Aspen has a tendency to get slightly expensive.
