The Powder Fly II wood core absorbs the chatter, and it includes Carbon I-Beam reinforcements to increase handling and let you ride with precision. Burton designed the Supermodel Snowboard with a directional shape and short 2.5cm stance setback to give you float in the fluff and still allow you to land switch when you huck a cornice. Make your 1st bd a keeper
This is my first board- just started ridin this year. Love it! You can absolutely use this as a beginner board if you size down a little (I'm a 5'8" female and the 155 is just right for me). Has pretty good flex and loves WY powder. This is a good board for groomers too. Will see how it handles East Coast ice next season...
Solid
It shreds through gunk and ice with ease and handled the powder in Utah pretty well. I even took it down the park for some giggles and it held up awesome as well. highly recommend this stick.
powder slut
I recently purchased this board from a retail outlet, I have used it for about half a season in Alaska and love it. I haven't ridden the Fish or Malolo, both powder specific boards to compare the Supermodel too. The supermodel does really well in the deep powder we get dumped on us here in AK, yet is just as responsive on the piste. The only place I haven't taken this board is the park, but i'm not really into that, and this board is more of a mountain powder board anyway, at least thats what i was told upon purchase.
