PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Get versatile, powerful flex with TwentyTwo Designs' HammerHead telemark binding. The two-inch spring easily adjusts to five dramatically different positions, giving the range you need for steep climbs and crazy descents. Leave the spring in its neutral setting during climbs, and preload it for powerful carves during descents. You get a responsive flex that puts the power to the edges of the ski when you drop a knee. TwentyTwo Designs made the toe piece with a six-hold mounting pattern that won't pull out and leave you walking out of the backcountry. Rocker launch, which is caused by stiff plastic boots flexing only across the toes, is virtually eliminated with the HammerHead's powerful underfoot cable routing and long toe piece. The HammerHead can be adjusted to fit any size boot without tools.
Bottom line
TwentyTwo Designs' Hammerhead Binding is made to stand up to today's hard-charging tele skiers. Rip with confidence.
Product Reviews
Best tele binding made
The only tele binding that allows adjustment from free to very active flex. Simple and easy to fix and adjust. Best customer service out there. You can't find a better tele binding than the Hammerhead anywhere.
sick!
bomber design, great lateral control, adjustable tension. how sweet. these are such burly bindings!! They pair up great with a t1 or t-race, havocs or piste pipes. This binding is not light, but it won't break. I was tired of replacing my cracked/broken g3 cables. And now I have more torsional control and can dial my binding up to be more active. I just wish it was a 4 hole pattern to fit my skis with inserts...
Check this out!!!
Skied with my Hammerhead bindings in deep powder (yeah we've got that out East). The only problem I had is the accumulation of snow/ice on the sides of the bindings under my boots. I didn't have this problem with my 2003 Hammerheads; it looks as if the metal isn't "polished" (smoothen over) so the snow accumulates on the sides of the bindings. The temperature was 3 degrees F and the snow was dry and fluffly. Other than that I'm satisfied with the product
Hammerheads
This year they are black and look sweet on the Black Diamond Verdict. I love these bindings and so does everyone I have ever spoken with who has skied them. Again, another product designed by folks who tele. With 5 positions you can either shift them to tour or to race without compromising any functionality on either position. Not only that but they are bomber...I have put these bindings through the ringer and the strong, simple design wins every time. Ever had snow get stuck in your pivot tele bindings? Frustrating isn't it? That doesn’t happen with these. They're sicky.
Smooth as butter
I got to demo these recently. First run, I was sent out there with these on the 5th position, or most stiff. My 145 pound frame had a tough time muscling them around. Got down to the bottom and had the setting changed to the second position. Wow. In the second position these thing were awesome. They give a nice consistent flex throughout the turn. Very smooth. They gave power to my edges but they were not over powering. I didn't want to take them off. So the 5 positions make a big difference. This is the next tele binding I will get .
